  • Dragon: The only jobs identified in Obama's job plan is for teachers, police and fire - all government/union jobs. We do not need more government employment, we need private industry to create jobs. Private industry will not create jobs under Obama. Period.

  • What a bunch of boneheads you people are. By raising taxes on anyone (including the so-called rich), the dollars goes to the government. There is nothing the government does that couldn't be done better (and more efficiently) by private enterprise.

  • I love it!! I am also almost fifty and made the decision to return to school to get my masters degree in education about a year ago. My sons are 8 and 9. Everynight we do homework together at the kitchen table, all three of us.

  • This article is so true. I am an older parent (49), now divorced from my husband of 10 years. I am raising my two sons ages 8 and 9 by myself (the ex found a nnew girlfriend and moved over 100 miles away). My parents live 150 miles away which makes it tough too.

  •  I sheepishly admit I voted for Obama. Until that point, I had been a lifelong Democrat. But a funny thing happened along the way. I matured. I grew up. I officially registered as a Republican. I disagree with many of their philosophies as well, I wish there was a Party of Common Sense.

  • Interesting story. My ex and I were married for 10 years and had two incredible sons together. Without going into detail, the marriage broke apart. While I would never ever get romantically involved with him ever again, I would totally care for him if he was terminally ill.
